Greenleaf Extensions had a very merry holiday season thanks to the U.S. Coast Guard and resident council.

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard, headquartered on the St. Elizabeths Campus, collected gifts for more than 200 gift bags full of gift cards, electronics, and more this year as part of their 2018 gift drive, an annual tradition led by U.S. Coast Guard Chaplain Jonathan Alexander. Their donations reached members of the Greenleaf, Barry Farm, and The Villager communities.

Several officers helped to hand out the gift bags on December 18 at Greenleaf Extensions. Then more gifts, coats, and hats and gloves were distributed to the community during the resident council’s holiday party, led by Greenleaf Extensions Resident Council President Andrenia Walker, on December 22. Guests visited the council office, enjoyed sandwiches and holiday cookies while catching up with their friends and neighbors.
