Macy’s and Clothes4Souls donated 2,000 winter coats to the authority to give to families as part of the agency’s Gift of Love initiative. Clothes4Souls is a Nashville-based non-profit and a division of Soles4Souls, Macy’s exclusive non-profit. Additional coats were donated by DCHA and the Children’s Foundation.

“Thanks to Macy’s, Clothes4Souls, and the Children’s Foundation, 2,000 of DCHA’s customers will enjoy a much warmer winter this year,” said DCHA Executive Director Tyrone Garrett. “These coats will truly make an impact on the lives of our customers and is the essence of this season of giving.”

The all-day event, held December 19 at the community building at Capitol Riverfront, had families streaming in to pick up their coats
