Cooking demonstrations, holistic training, and a moon bounce were just a few of the features at the Hopkins Apartments Back to School Garden Party, hosted by the resident council.

The event, held August 18, was between the new orchard trees and the garden plots that are part of the 11th Street Bridge Project’s partnership with the community.

In addition to back packs, residents could enjoy free massages, oracle readings and other services from the Collective Health Initiative, barbecue by Tina Hawkins, music from The Sound Factory, and healthy cooking demonstrations by Chef Shawn Lightfoot of ARTdrenaline 365 café.
