District of Columbia Housing Authority Executive Director Adrianne Todman participated in the 24th annual Affordable Housing Conference in Montgomery County, Maryland on May 4. Todman was a featured speaker on the Evolving Needs and Resources: Public Housing, Education, Jobs, and Resident Services panel. 

The conference, attended by hundreds of housing and government officials, service providers, and other partner organizations, focused on "Housing, Transit, and Jobs -- The Foundation for a Strong Economy."

Todman's panel drilled down further into the conference's theme to explain how in different scenarios, housing is a necessary to provide families a stable foundation, but wrap around services for every member of the family also are necessary to ensure that family a successful future.
