The Langston Terrace Resident Council has worked to update and beautify their gardens for the summer.

Garden plots were upgraded or rebuilt, in some cases. The council also planted vegetables in two plots and flowers were planted in many others.

“We wanted to make sure everything looked nice for the community,” said Ester Hardesty, resident council president.

The day-long activity was made possible by Turner Construction. Turner’s volunteers provided the materials and helped Langston Terrace residents with the construction and planting. Turner’s volunteers also built a Little Free Library where residents can pick up a book or leave a book.

The annual Langston Day celebration will be taking place on August 19.
