Teenagers and adults who aspire to go onto secondary education at a college or university can take advantage of some helpful tips and counseling in Southwest.
Several College Success Foundation Workshops are being held at the Southwest Family Enhancement and Career Center through June 3. These workshops are provided by the District of Columbia Housing Authority in partnership with the College Success Foundation, National College Access Network, and D.C. Connect.
Interested individuals can speak to professionals about how to apply for financial aid, learn about financial literacy, get assistance with savings plans, help with filling out FAFSA forms, and researching college and university programs that would best fit them.
In addition to group workshops, the College Success Foundation provides one-on-one office hours so individuals have a safe environment to talk about personal situations and circumstances leading to them being a successful college graduate.
